Faros - Sifnos
Venereum apartments sits on the south side of Sifnos, at a stone’s throw from the settlement and beach of Faros. Here lie three of the most scenic beaches on the island (Faros, Glyfo and Fasolou). Faros boasts a slew of cafés with sunbeds, restaurants serving fresh fish as well as “gourmet” dishes plus a small convenience store. From here just follow the cobbled trail to arrive, in only 2 minutes’ time, at Glyfo beach with crystal clear waters and rich tamarisk shade. On the other side of the bay lies Fasolou, a small bay, with a café-restaurant. Apollonia, the capital, where the main nightlife of Sifnos takes place, sits at a distance of 7.5 km.
A bus stop stands close to the compound as well as the public parking space for those with vehicles.
Trekking fans can follow the cobbled trail that starts from Glyfo beach and ends up at Kastro, the ancient capital of Sifnos. Last but not least, another pleasant trek is the cobbled trail starting at Glyfo beach and leading to Apokofto and Chrysopygi (approx. 30΄).
